Huh.

That didn't suck. Sorta expected it to.

What do ya'll do between curses? Seems sorta...borin' and I come from Dillon.

I bartend some nights, mostly I play piano there, live entertainment.

Yeah? Cool. I'm Tim.

It's nice to meet you, Tim. I'm Jill. Do you like jazz?

I don't know. I like classic rock, country, some of the new stuff. Never really listened to jazz.

Oh, you might like another club better then. The Blue Light is mostly jazz.

I'll have to find a few of 'em and try 'em out.

That could be your 'I'm bored' activity. Bar hopping.

Sounds good to me. You wanna go bar hopping with me?

Oh. Uhm. Sure. A drink at every bar?

Works for me. You wanna meet me somewhere?

Yeah. How about we start at The Blue Light? It's at a pretty central location.

Okay. I'll meet you there. I'll be the guy in cowboy boots.

[Twenty minutes later Jill is there in a pair of torn skinny jeans, a pair of heels and a loose, shimmery blouse with holes to bare the shoulders but drapey sleeves. She spots a boy in cowboy boots and cautiously approaches.]

Tim?

[Tim gives her a slow, crooked grin and nods.]

Yes Ma'am. That's me. You're Jill?

[She offers him a small grin in return, especially fond of his greeting. It's kind of obvious he's Southern right off the bat. She extends one hand in greeting.]

Yes. I'm Jill. It's nice to meet you.

[He shakes her hand with a grin. Yeah, Tim is pretty southern.]

Nice to meet you too.

I can't believe you're bored in this place.

[Jill leans on the bar on her elbows and waits for the tender to get over to them. Then she orders herself a bloody mary and then looks over to Tim so he can order whatever he wants.]

[Tim shrugs.] Maybe I just ain't found enough things to do yet. [Tim orders a beer. He's going to start with that at least.]

[She scoots up onto a bar stool with her back to the bar and facing the crowd.]

Well there's Xanadoo which is kind of a cool place. And bars and coffee shops and shopping...

Yeah, shopping not really my thing. Bars are cool though. What's Xanadu?

[She tilts her head thoughtfully to consider that a moment since Xanadu is really a lot of different things all thrown together.]

It's like a park with several different kinds of gardens. There's a zoo and a nice restaurant...

Guess it wouldn't be a bad place to hang out then.

[Jill smirks and turns her head to look at him.] Not bad.

[The tender sets their drinks on the bar and Jill turns to pick up her bloody mary, taking a sip of it.] Yum. So where are you from?

[Tim takes a long sip of his beer.] Dillon, Texas. You? Somewhere down south?

[Because of her accent. He knows it's not Texas but he's not sure where it's from either.]

Texas, I should have guessed. I'm from Alabama. [And as she feels compelled to do so, she holds up her bloody mary glass in a toast and adds the obligatory] Roooll Tide! [Then she takes a healthy sip of the drink.]
