Huh.
That didn't suck. Sorta expected it to.
What do ya'll do between curses? Seems sorta...borin' and I come from Dillon.
There a golf course anywhere 'round here?

Alright, you're gonna make sure the middle part of the iron's lined up with the ball 'cause that's the part you're gonna smack it with. You got this good straight line all the way down the golf club, see?
no subject
So, like this? [ And she hits the ball. It doesn't go very far, but at least she hit it. ]
no subject
He steps back when she hits the ball and gives her a few slow claps.]
Nice job. [He snags another ball out of the bucket and puts it on the tee]
Okay, this time, really smack it like you're pissed at someone.
no subject
Like I am angry at someone?
[ Tessa has never tried to be angry on purpose, quite the opposite. But she tries, now -- imagining Nate as he revealed that he'd betrayed her and killed her aunt, remembering Will as he tells her she could become his mistress, but nothing more and how he abandoned her when she arrived in the City, and Mortmain, who wanted to use her, marry her, who had her kidnapped and who used her brother's weaknesses.
When she hits the ball this time, she borrows Camille's strength without being aware of it, Changing for a brief moment into the other woman - blonde curls, green eyes, gorgeous figure barely contained in the dress Tessa wears - before returning to her normal self.
The ball flies much further this time, but Tessa hardly notices, too shocked by what she's just done. She's never Changed without really trying before.
Face stricken, she turns to Tim. ]
I-- did not mean to do that.
no subject
Holy Hell... what the--what just happened? Sweet shot though. [Priorities. Tim's got 'em.]
no subject
I Changed.

[ She keeps looking at him, searching his face for signs of disgust or hatred, or the condescension she saw and heard from Will. ]
no subject
It don't anymore? [And then a pause.] When you...change...you still you?
no subject
No, not anymore. [ Used to be, when the sisters forced her, that it felt like she was being ripped apart, but now it is merely a little strange. ]
I-- yes and no. I keep my own thoughts and remember who I am and I can do what I wish to, but I can also hear the thoughts of the person I have Changed into and remember their memories. I become them, too. [ Even when they are dead. ]
no subject
That's...good.[He is glad that it doesn't hurt her anymore. There's some measure of relief that she stays her and in control. He rakes a hand through his hair.] Sorry...I'm tryin' to--the only kind of changin' people do back home is from slutty cheerleader to self righteous bible thumper.

<small.[He breaks open the cooler, fishes a bottle of wine out for Tessa and unscrews the top before handing it over. He gets his own bottle of beer out.]</small> You'll like it. Tastes like strawberry.
no subject
It is quite therapeutic, in a way. [ Hitting a golf ball while imagining the faces of people who have wronged you, that is. ]
So long as it does not taste like chocolate. [ She looks at the bottle, rather confused. ] Did you bring glasses, as well?
no subject
[He chuckles at her question and shakes his head.] Just drink it from the bottle, Princess. [And then he demonstrates by taking a big swig of his beer.]
no subject
It's sweet. [ She takes another sip, equally small. ]
no subject
Thought you'd like it. Just don't drink it too fast. [Getting her drunk isn't his objective. He just wants her to loosen up a little, relax and have fun. Especially after the stress they both seemed to have with her changing in front of him.]
no subject
Why not? [ She won't, but she wants to know why. ]
no subject
[Because that's the kind of rep Tim has despite the fact that it's really not true. He's a slut. Not a jackass.]
no subject
But I would not enjoy being sick and drunk very much, I should think.
no subject
[Tim grins at her and takes a sip of his beer.]
Just sip it. You'll be fine. [She might have a bit of a headache in the morning but he'll try to make sure she drinks enough water before she goes to sleep.]
no subject
[ She finds herself smiling in response to his grin, almost surprised by how much she enjoys his presence and how easy it comes, in a way. Even with the kiss in the library and the fact that she just Changed in front of him, being around him is easier than being around Will has ever been. ]
no subject
[It could be because Tim is really super laid back. It could also be because his life hasn't ever been the most stable. Or, most likely, it's because he's killed a good number of his brain cells through alcohol and concussions. He just doesn't have the brain power to be uptight.]
no subject
And I have seen things rather much worse than this, so I do not mind.
