Julie had been spending a lot of time at the Riggins house. Tim can’t decide if Coach knows about it or not because he’s running a lot more bleachers lately. It could be that Coach has heard rumors and no one wants their daughter dating Tim Riggins. It’s a well known fact. Maybe Coach just thinks he needs the cardio or maybe it’s punishment for all the times he’s come to practice drunk and hungover.

Whatever the reason, the result is a very sore Tim Riggins who happens to think spending time with Julie Taylor is worth running bleachers.

It’s after dark when he gets home that day. He’s sore from running bleachers and bruised from being a tackling dummy during actual practice. He pulls the truck into the driveway, grabs the case of beer out of the toolbox and carries it to the house, pushing the door open and heading toward the fridge. He opens the door, slides the beer into the nearly empty icebox and unbuttons his pants.

Yeah. Those have got to go.

Really, he ought to have learned by now to check and see if Julie is here. It’s not as if the door is ever locked.

Jules glances at her appearance in the bathroom mirror as she washes her hands, nose wrinkling at the smear of flour on her cheek as she tries to scrape the dough from the corners of her fingernails. Making pizza bases from scratch had seemed like a really good idea but the kitchen looked like a bomb had hit it and turns out, the Riggins boys don't actually have much in the way of pizza toppings... or well, food in general.

When she hears the door open, Julie makes a hasty attempt to wipe the white powder from her cheek, missing completely as she peels out of the bathroom to make sure the elder Riggins actually managed to get everything on the list she'd made him.

“Hey Billy – Did you remember to pick up the chee-”

Oh.
Not Billy.
Tim.
Tim with no pants.

“Uh - “ Fighting a grin that doesn't know whether it's going to be embarrassed or amused as she forces herself to look away a moment. “-Sorry... I thought.”

“We're making Pizza?” Julie Taylor. Domesticating the Riggins one day at a time.
