Huh.
That didn't suck. Sorta expected it to.
What do ya'll do between curses? Seems sorta...borin' and I come from Dillon.
There a golf course anywhere 'round here?

I shall wait there.

think Booneswine in there because Tessa doesn't seem like a beer sort of girl. He's wearing his standard jeans, cowboy boots, panthers hat backwards and a plaid button up shirt. He's even done up most of the buttons.]You ready to go?
no subject
She looks up when he approaches her, closing the book. ]
Of course.
no subject
You look nice.
[He juggles the bag and the cooler, putting them both in one hand so he can hold his hand out to help her up. Skirt like that, he's not sure how she walks much less gets up.]
no subject
[ She takes his hand and smiles up at him. She's used to the skirts, of course, so they don't really pose much of a problem to her, though they are a far cry from, say, jeans. Not that she would know, she never wore the pair that she bought during that one curse. ]
Where are we going?

Bet I can hit the merry go round from here.
[He sets down the cooler and the golf balls, gets one of the irons from the army style duffel bag he's decided will serve as a golf bag and sets up a ball and tee.]
You wanna set it up just like this and stand 'bout a foot back.
[He takes some time to set up the shot, giving some practice swings, re-adjusting his stance and taking aim.]
When I was fourteen Dad left to go on the golf pro circuit. He never really got to be pro but he tried. [He also never came back. Tim whacks the ball hard, then straightens up and shades his eyes to watch the golf ball sail through the air. There's a distance thunk and Tim is grinning like an idiot. He totally hit the carousel.]
no subject
I do not think I can hit it quite that far.
[ But she's willing to try. ]

Alright, you're gonna make sure the middle part of the iron's lined up with the ball 'cause that's the part you're gonna smack it with. You got this good straight line all the way down the golf club, see?
no subject
So, like this? [ And she hits the ball. It doesn't go very far, but at least she hit it. ]
no subject
He steps back when she hits the ball and gives her a few slow claps.]
Nice job. [He snags another ball out of the bucket and puts it on the tee]
Okay, this time, really smack it like you're pissed at someone.
no subject
Like I am angry at someone?
[ Tessa has never tried to be angry on purpose, quite the opposite. But she tries, now -- imagining Nate as he revealed that he'd betrayed her and killed her aunt, remembering Will as he tells her she could become his mistress, but nothing more and how he abandoned her when she arrived in the City, and Mortmain, who wanted to use her, marry her, who had her kidnapped and who used her brother's weaknesses.
When she hits the ball this time, she borrows Camille's strength without being aware of it, Changing for a brief moment into the other woman - blonde curls, green eyes, gorgeous figure barely contained in the dress Tessa wears - before returning to her normal self.
The ball flies much further this time, but Tessa hardly notices, too shocked by what she's just done. She's never Changed without really trying before.
Face stricken, she turns to Tim. ]
I-- did not mean to do that.
no subject
Holy Hell... what the--what just happened? Sweet shot though. [Priorities. Tim's got 'em.]
no subject
I Changed.

[ She keeps looking at him, searching his face for signs of disgust or hatred, or the condescension she saw and heard from Will. ]
no subject
It don't anymore? [And then a pause.] When you...change...you still you?
no subject
No, not anymore. [ Used to be, when the sisters forced her, that it felt like she was being ripped apart, but now it is merely a little strange. ]
I-- yes and no. I keep my own thoughts and remember who I am and I can do what I wish to, but I can also hear the thoughts of the person I have Changed into and remember their memories. I become them, too. [ Even when they are dead. ]
