[Tim is outside on the sidewalk in front of the youth center. He's got on sweats and a tank top along with a pair of tennis shoes for a change. He's been out jogging.]

Sort of figured if things get crazy again, runnin' might come in kinda handy.

[ It's not funny. It really isn't-- really. Except Tessa is smiling a little as well. ]

Not necessarily bad, but I'm certainly not used to the differences. [ And thne he kisses her. Which only proves her point that things here are so very different. They're in public. Clearly not married. Kissing. And yet no one will demand that they get married.

There will be no slapping. ]

[Oh good. He's gotten used to kissing her without the slapping. Of course it wouldn't be the first time Tim was slapped for kissing someone. It just doesn't happen often. He keeps the kiss reasonably brief then pulls away.]

Come on. Let's go try your runnin' clothes out. [he holds out his hand for hers.]

[ How can he be so casual about this? It takes Tessa a moment of blinking up at him before she gathers her thoughts enough to nod and take his hand. ]

We are going running now?

Nah but you oughta try the stuff on. Make sure it fits and it's comfortable then if you don't like it you can return it.

S'all right. You'll get better. Sorta the way runnin' works. You're gonna hate it at first but once you get used to it, you sorta end up likin' it.

Like, I don't know what I am if I don't play football. I figure...nobody knows who the hell they are. Not me, not even Lyla Garrity back home who acts like she's got it all together and then some. It's sorta somethin' you figure out 'long the way.

Yeah, I'll be in here. [He plops down on one of the couches and turns on the TV, not knowing whether she's going to come out and show him and just assure him that they fit.]
