[Tim chuckles a bit.] Lemme grab a quick shower and we'll go. [He won't push for the clothes. He just might mention it'd be easier for her to run in but it's her decision. He comes inside the youth center now, clattering up the stairs to the room he stays in toward the shower. Yeah he'll leave the device on, tastefully (for Tessa's sake) turned toward the wall so she doesn't see him stripping and getting in the shower.]

Yeah, that's kinda your sorta thing. Besides, smart chicks are sexy. [They usually don't pay much attention to him but they're sexy.]

Of course. [ It's a good thing the device is turned to the wall. It means Tim can't see her blushing. ]

And you consider me smart? [ She's not fishing for compliments. She's honestly surprised. Of course, she knows that she's not stupid, but-- no one's ever really called her smart. ]

Yeah. You read books and shit. [His voice is echo-y in the shower and yes that is Tim's definition of smart.]

[Now he's laughing and getting out of the shower.]

I don't know. This guy that lives next to us used to have this really smart dog. [He's joking. Tim is very self aware when it comes to his intelligence. He's flattered by Tessa's offense though.]

[ Tessa has her nose buried very deep in her book, even though she isn't reading. The book is a kind of shield, though. Not that there's anything she needs protection from right now-- not really. But still. ]

You are not at all comparable to a dog, Tim. [ Except if one were to list a dog's positive qualities. She can imagine Tim would be very loyal. ]

[He wraps a towel around his waist, turns the video back to sort of be facing him as he's drying his hair, putting on deodorant and things like that. He ponders shaving for a moment and decides scruffy will do for the day then picks the device up and heads toward his room to get dressed.]

Yeah and there's some people I wouldn't mind showin' up here but there's ones I'd like to stay home too. [Smash for one. He grabs up the device and heads outside the room toward the lobby.]

Yes, it is much the same for me. There is two people from my world here, and one of them from my time. I would not mind if Jem or Charlotte came here. [ And she's scared and worried that Mortmain will show up here one day. The main reason why she likes the City so much is that he isn't here. ]

Most likely, indeed. Though I do not think anyone's preferences are taken into account when people arrive here.

I've not spent very much money since I have arrived here. [ Meaning she could probably afford good quality. She isn't sure whether this is what she wants to spend a lot of her money on, but she can afford it. ]
